The Local Peace Committee is an independent, self governing, inclusive and balanced oragnization.This committee has a very crucial role to identify and implement various logical and equity based solutions for ongoing peace process in Nepal. Local Peace Committee, Kathmandu is one of such committee established by the Government of Nepal,  Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction.                       
Nepal Government, Ministry of Peace and Reconstruction has established Local Peace Committee to fulfill following objectives:
(i) Provide relief to the victims of conflict;
